We are back!
Dear friends,
We are back in Singapore! Thank you for all your support and prayers.
We had an enriching learning experience in Cambodia and God has been really good to us. The weather was good and breezy on days when we were outdoor. All of us were strong and healthy throughout the trip. When we went to the slums and dumpsite, we saw smiles on the faces of the Cambodian children as we showed them the magic tricks we have learnt from Project SMILE. They were thrilled and wanted to try out the tricks themselves! The English lessons taught by the teachers were well-received by the Cambodian children. They chorused and sang along loudly, and even particpated in the skit we prepared for them.
Friendships amongst the GB girls were also strengthened as they learned to look out and help one another. There was much laughter throughout the trip as they sang in the van, ate, slept and served together, ..... simply enjoying each other's company. They discovered many good and interesting things about one another too!
We are indeed thankful for this trip as the experiences we have had has taught all of us to be more grateful and compassionate.
To God be the glory!

Day 4 Church / Russian Market / Grand Palace / Riverside Walk
starting our day with a morning service at Victory Family Centre.
then we headed to the Russian Market...
where the girls put their bargaining skills to the test!
followed by a very sumptuous lunch. yum yum!
and an educational trip to the Grand Palace where we learnt about the history, architecture, and culture of Cambodia.
we may not have gone to Siem Reap, but we got to see a miniature version of the Angkor Wat too!
taking a leisurely stroll along the river after.
and finally, the girls appreciating Miss Riya, our GB guide / advisor / translator / friend on this trip with a handmade card.
